Dortmund Beat Augsburg

Borussia Dortmund beat Augsburg 4-3 in a high-scoring match, proving once again why they are one of the most exciting teams to watch in Europe.

Bellingham (29 min), Schlotterbeck (42 min), Bynoe-Gittens (75 min), Reyna (78 min); Maier (40 min), Demirovi (45 + 1 min), Colina (76 min) Scored the goals

Following a slow start to the season in the Bundesliga, the home team was eager to get back on track after the break.

And early on, they appeared like they were back to their old selves, controlling play and pelting the Augsburg net with shot after shot.

After 30 minutes of play, however, they scored, with Jude Bellingham scoring to further cement his team’s image as a cult favorite.

However, Arne Maier’s goal in the final seconds of the first half Augsburg did not intimidate and tied the game.

Shortly after, however, Dortmund’s Nico Schlotterbeck scored to give his team the lead once again. But in the end Dortmund beat Augsburg.

However, this bizarre period took even another turn in injury time when Ermedin Demirovi scored an equalizer for the second time.

After halftime, Sebastian Haller, playing in his first game since beating cancer, entered the game to a wildly enthusiastic ovation from the crowd.

Teenager Jamie Bynoe-Gittens scored his second goal at the senior level for Dortmund, giving the home team a 3-0 lead.

David Colina scored an equalizer for Dortmund just a minute after the initial goal, continuing a trend of late-season defensive collapses.

Two minutes later, however, Dortmund’s Gio Reyna scored the game’s fourth goal to take the craziness to a new level.
